This has been Quinn's first year of soccer. You can start soccer when you are three so he could have played last year, but we decided against it. So now he is four. In the first game he was shy and unsure. He sort of played the first half of the game. Then he was done! He cryed and wanted to go home.

The second game was rained out. Darn! Third game, I ended up going out on the field with him. Held his hand, pulling him along. Encouraging him to kick the ball. It worked!! He started running and playing. He was excited to get a treat and drink after the game.

The next game he was out there all on his own playing and having a good time. The next game he was doing okay and then was knocked down on the soaking wet field. Oh well. Its part of the game!

I think a big part of the problem this year has been that its so stinkin cold still! Some of his games have been at 9. The school he plays at is new and they seem to be watering the grass to much!!! So rain on top of watering the new grass to much equals wet fields every week!!! Oh...but he is so cute! He loves soccer now and asks everyday when he can play again. :)
