Rapunzel Party

First I'd like to say that in my dream world, I would have done a million posts this past year with all of our family updates.  Sadly, the time has slipped by and I just dont think I can go back and fill it all in.  So, I will start with the present time....

Chloe turned 4!!  She is in love with Rapunzel from Tangled.  I wasnt sure if I was really going to throw a big party for her.  But she kept talking about it.  So, I did. :)  And if your doing a friend party its either go big or dont do it, right!?

I thought I was being smart and found all these super cute ideas on Pinterest.  But man!  It was alot of work!  It seems like each thing I picked had way to many steps to it!  But it was all worth it.  Chloe loved her party.  It seemed like the other girls loved it too.  And the best part, its over! :)
I cant believe my baby is 4!  Chloe is a sweet girl!  She loves to boss everyone around.  And she usually gets away with it.  She is my little shadow.  Chloe has a September birthday so she will be turning 6 when she finally gets to go to Kindergarten!!!  Last year I did a all girls "mom school" group.  This year we have a great mixture of kids for "mom school" again.  Next year she will go to Miss Amy for preschool.  THEN kindergarten!  It feels like forever away, but I am really grateful to have that extra year with her!  Quinn is in 1st grade now.  So really its alot of Chloe and Mom time. And I love it!!

Crazy Life

Our lives changed in March.
There have been many, many, ups and downs threw this new adventure.  Kristin has a genetic disease called FEVR for short.  It is a life long disease, with no cure.  She just had surgery number 4.  Sadly, the surgery didn't go as well as we hoped.  She has blood stuck to her lens.  So she still can't see.  Her left eye has stayed stable at 20/50 right now.  It is hard.  But we have had many tender mercies!  So much love and support around us.  Hopefully, when life slows down I can start back at the beginning and record all of it on here.

Kristin is so strong! And because she is strong, I try to be.

New Pictures

We had some pictures taken a couple of months ago before it was freezing. It's always fun to see how much the kids have changed and grown. They are growing up way to fast! I hate getting my picture taken. But I also hate that Im not in alot. As the Mom, Im the one snapping away. I decided I wanted one of Darin and I. It turned out fine. :) Im so grateful for Darin. He is a great Father, Husband, Provider and Priesthood holder. There has been so much going on in our busy life and the world around us. Things that make me so grateful for our strong relationship. Im so grateful for our Eternal Marriage.
I love these two together! Quinn is so hilarious with his Dad. They are so out numbered around here that they have to stick together. :) I recently was holding a brand new neice. I asked Quinn if we needed a boy baby. He had this weird look on his face. He said, "no, I want a big brother. And his name is Dad!" Oh, I smiled. Sometimes Im sad for him not having a brother. I know what its like to be the only girl. If I knew I would have a boy, I might do it. But since their is no guarantee, we will stick with 6 kids. :) I love how much Quinn loves being with his Dad!

Chloe is 3

We celebrated Chloes third birthday today. She has been so excited all week!
We had a bunch of little girls over to party with us. I must admit I have never done a 3 year old friend party. It was actually pretty calm.
The girls were excited to play games. We did a pinata. It was hilarious because none of them hit it very hard.
Chloe loved blowing out her candle. She asked if she could do it again.
I can't believe my baby is 3! She is so big. I told her that she had to stay 2 forever and she said, "No Mom, Im getting bigger!" I love her to peices!!

I feel so domestic!

I feel so domestic! In the last two days I have made my own laundry soap, and pulled two huge zucchini out of my garden! Its so fun. I went to a girls night. My friends sister in law was in town and came with us. Somehow it came up that she makes her own laundry soap and how cheap and easy it is. Who wouldn't like that? Recently I read on my friend Ines blog at all the soaps and things she's been making too. So I tried it! So easy, smells great, works great and the best part, CHEAP!
I don't have a green thumb at all! But, every year I try to have a garden. It is going great this year. I had been watching this one zucchini growing, waiting for it to get a little bit bigger. Yesterday I thought it looked good so I brought it in the house. It was so fun to see how excited the kids were also. We grew something and its big! ha ha. Then a bit later I went back out to water and discovered another zucchini that was hiding and its even bigger then the one I was watching. I also picked a ton of lettuce. I need to pick a ton of green beans. I also have corn, tomotoes, carrots, radish, pumpkin, and pototoes growing. Its so fun!
